LIKE SOME GIRLSA peculiar, though perhaps not completely unexpected item appeared on the Fall 2009 mens runways for Comme des Garcons: the man flat. Considering the blurring of the gender lines and the adopting of androgynous styles in the last few seasons, it seems like a natural progression for the trend to drift to the feet.
Rei Kawakubo sent out a collection in a subtle color palette with a distinct eccentricity she's become known for. Dress suits were accented with sweater vests in solids and an assortment of patterns and man skirts were offered again this season, this time in more variations. Looks like Comme des Garcons, which translates to, like some boys, is evolving to look like some girls.
